Split batten hanging system

Layers of protection

We place a barrier layer behind the artwork and its mount to prevent any acidity that might be present in the environment from leaching into the art medium. We then back our frames with a stiff board to protect against accidental impacts.

Finally the backing board is sealed to the frame with a long lasting, moisture resistant sealing tape.

Strap Hanger

Hanging systems

For most frames, we find the traditional D-ring and picture cord to be the preferred choice of our clients.

When using specialist glass, the anti-reflective qualities are best experienced when the sight line is close to the perpendicular in both planes, relative to the glass. That angle is achieved by using split battens (above) or strap hangers (left) to hang the frame and hold it fully back against the wall.
